Is MCCS accredited?

MCCS is Accredited with Quality by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.

What is the student-teacher ratio?

The student teacher ratio at MCCS is 12 to 1.  In Upper Elementary and Middle School, class size is 20 to 1.

Are students required to wear uniforms?

Does MCCS provide a transportation service?

MCCS does not provide transportation.  During the first weeks of school, the Parent Teacher Association (CPTA) generates a Carpool List for any interested families.

Is there an age requirement to enter MCCS?

MCCS follows State of Georgia guidelines in regards to age requirements.  Students must be 3-8 years of age respectively prior to September 1st.

Are MCCS families required to attend the Christian Church?

Families are not required to be members of the Christian Church.  Membership and active involvement in a church are desired.  All families are invited to attend Mount Carmel Christian Church.

What curriculum does MCCS use?

MCCS uses curriculum from the Georgia Department of Education State-Recommended Textbook List.

Does MCCS have summer school?

MCCS does not have summer school.  Information about various summer camps and programs is provided during the month of May.  Mount Carmel Christian Church offers various summer activities.

Are there plans to add a high school?

Shortly after its development, MCCS included grades 3K-12.  When the church and school moved to its new location, it was decided by the MCCS School Board to limit the grades offered to 3K-8.  In our current facility, no additional grades will be added.

What are the qualifications of the MCCS faculty?

MCCS employs degreed, certified faculty members.  100% of the Elementary and Middle School faculty have received a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Does MCCS offer a lunch program?

MCCS offers a hot lunch program three days a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Students are required to bring a lunch every Tuesday and Thursday.  Lunch may be purchased annually or daily.
