Amanda Mayo represented MCCS at the 62nd annual Georgia Science and Engineering Fair in Athens, GA. Amanda's project, a biochemistry project about termites, was judged along with 500 other projects.

After being interviewed by entomologists, chemists, and other representatives from the GSEF, Amanda was recognized in the following categories.

First Place - American Chemical Society

Honorable Mention - University of Georgia Entomology Club

Third Place Overall - Georgia Science and Engineering Fair

The Angel Tree Project, sponsored by S.O.A.R. Ministires, allows MCCS students to participate in a local ministry that has extended across the border.
